Annual Louisiana Duck Hunt

Had a great hunt which also included woodcock this year, that was a first. High light of the hunt was one day my son shot a drake cinnamon teal, my grandson a bw drake and I got a gw trake. All 3 of them are adult birds in full plumage, so grandpa said that he would get the three of them mounted on a log together. Will have pictures to post as soon as my son shows me how. Wonder what my taxidermy bill will be, but even in sw Louisiana Cinnamon teal are rare and for the three of us to get nice adult drakes in the 3 species of teal the same day is unique.

That is definitely awesome. The chances of each of you shooting a drake teal of a different species is pretty slim. Heck, it is tough enough just to hit a teal to begin with.

Taxidermy bill, $400+. Experience of a lifetime, priceless. I hope my dad gets to experience something like that and that I get to experience it at some point too.
