Ok,
I looked at my old Lyman books last night, the below info comes from Lyman #45, my other response was without my refrence library: Bullet - Powder - Start - Max - Accuracy 85 -- B'eye -- 3.8 -- 4.2 ---- Red Dot -- 4.0 -- 4.5 ---- Unique -- 4.6 -- 5.2 -- 5.2 93 -- B'eye -- 3.5 -- 4.0 -- 4.0 ---- Red Dot -- 3.9 -- 4.3 ---- Unique -- 4.4 -- 5.0 ---- Factory Duplication -- Red Dot -- 4.3 The 30 Mauser data can not be used in the 30 Luger as the 30 Mauser is a larger case (.850 VS .990) and, a load example is that the Mauser start load for an 85gr is the max load for the Luger round or 4.2 gr of B'eye with a max in the Mauser round of 5.0 which would be near 20% above the max in a Luger round. The cast loads for the Luger were substantially the same as the jacketed loads with the accuracy loads in the 84gr and 93gr cast bullets changed to B'eye and Red Dot respectively. The gun used was a Luger in 30 Luger. The accuracy load for the 85 was 1113 fps and the accuracy load for the 93 jacketed was 1123 fps with the factory duplication 93 gr load being 1136 fps. Ed
