scalerman, The trigger on an Encore is not adjustable but is certainly changeable. I ha.e done several for fellows in this area. Google Mike Bellm,s T/C'S or gp to www.bellmtcs.com. After you read the information you may be confused about which spring to install. I usually install either sear spring #3 or #4. These usally bring the trigger down to about a 3lb. +- pull. They also try to sell a pair of pliers that are basically useless. I use a "slave pin" to hold the new spring in place while reassembling.
After reading the online instructions for installing the sspring, your local gunsmith should know how to use a "slave pin". Good Shooting.
