I agree with what everyone has already stated....if it's working for you, there's no use in switching.

The reason they are effective is because of the high profile and steep front angle on the vane itself. They provide as much guidance as a 4" vane. If your bow is properly tuned and shooting the 4" vanes well, it makes more sense to stick with them as most short / hi-profile hunting vanes are quite a bit more expensive than traditional 4" vanes. They are stiffer than traditional vanes as well and fletching clearance on non-drop away rests can become an issue when a good bit of helical is added.

Personally, I switched a few years ago for no other reason than I liked the look of them!
