It depends what you prefer

I have been using Old English or German flints from a local gun shop. They seem to work well and I replace them after they fail to give good ignition. Never counted the shots I get from these flints, but it seems that the ones you are using should last a bit longer. I never learned how to sharpen or knap flints so I just buy new ones. All the best...
