First I heard of this. My friend has verizon cell phone and had the weather alert on it....the thing went off all the time. Became such a bother he had them remove it from his phone. This might not be the same program however it use to cost him $.50 every call. It would say..alert, rain on the way...as we were standing in the rain..lmao..I do not want this to come over my cell phone..Just another way to pester..like my home phone scam calls..I call in a list every day to the Federal Trade Commission as they are trying to track down who is making all these calls..you know the kind..cut debts, lower interest etc etc..and that all started when I looked online for some medical insurance...5+ scam calls every day..texas,california,Ny etc etc...now they want to send me on my cell phone?..na...I opt out...speaking of cell phones, I found out at the emergency 911 center that even if you have your GPS turned off on your cell phone, it can't be turned off when a call is made to 911...Big brother can find out where you are at any given time...even if you disable it on your phone.
