Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun. - Ecclesiastes 8:15 KJV

We got lucky here in Maryland. 350,000 people lost power with BG&E, and we were one of them, but only for 2 hours. Gas has not been a problem.

My sister in-law on Long Island was without power for 5 days and she is spending 2 hours in line when she needs to fill up her Sonata. She used to ride public transportation into Manhattan to work, but that isn't really an option, so she has been spending 2 to 3 hours on the road each way to get to work. No damage to their house though, and they are still breathing, so not as bad as it could have been.

My wife's aunt on Long Island just got power back yesterday. She was spending time over my wife's uncle who had power.

For some, this storm really sucked.
