Captain,

Please tell us about the M14s you got for Christmas? I had three M14s and would like to chat.

Adam

Not a lot to say. Its technically "not" an M14s.

Its a Norinco M305. Clone of the M14s. Semi auto. Although its stamped Socom 18.

Optics are an Aimpoint PRO

500 rounds of non corrosive 7.62x51mm

Captain,

Nice looking rifle. Who made the 7.62X51MM ammo? I see you have the web sling installed upside down. Is that a Canadian thing? LOL!

My three M14s were U.S. National Match rifles issued to me when I was on the New Hampshire High Power Rifle Team and I took them to Camp Perry, Ohio.

The ammo is also made by Norinco.

I know the sling is "upside" down, but the stupid adjustment buckle really dug into my shoulder and was very uncomfortable...so I turned it around....now its comfortable but people question my ability to put a square peg in a round hole LOL!!!

I got flack for installing the scope mount for my Ruger 10/22 backwards too!!!

I put stuff the way it works for me, not necessarily how it was designed!!! LOL

I will probably get a nicer sling than that one anyway eventually....

My ammo supplier went and put the Norc 7.62 ammo on sale....So the guy I shared the original crate I bought went and ordered 2 more crates! I offered to split costs on one of those crates. Knowing this ammo supply will dry up and the next bunch might be years away and very expensive he doesn't want to sell any of it....so I ordered another crate for myself

1500 rounds should last me a while LOL

Has that M14 got the roller bearing on the rf of the bolt? I had to keep Lubriplate on the ones I was issued to keep them from stripping off! Still, I loved mine!
