More bird hunts this year
The old regulars are going out again this fall. We are booked for early November and will try to get a second fall hunt scheduled. Some of us remember the "good old days" when there were native pheasants around to be hunted. Those days are gone. If you want to hunt pheasants today in Pennsylvania it is stocked birds or nothing. Gil,
I think you are getting some fine PA pheasant shooting. What is the cost these days for each shooing ground pheasant? Does that price per bird cover cleaning, plucking and prep for the trek home? Adam

It depends
Adam,
The package deal covers a 40-bird hunt, dog handler, staying in the lodge, cleaning the birds and packing them in ice for about $1,800.00. The cost per bird is about $35 per each. For four hunters it comes out to about $450 per hunter for a two-day hunt. It is my favorite hunt. All the best... Gil
