Spencer,

As a fellow PA resident, please elaborate about your shooting. Was it a home invasion and you were failed by the PA Castle Doctrine? Was it outside your home?

As an old lawman, I am very interested in why you spent months in jail? Can you "Fill in the blanks?"

In anti-gun states like the Peoples" Republik of Massachusetts, the DAs ROUTINELY indict homeowners who shoot home invaders. It got so bad that my MA friends talked about Shoot, Shovel and Shut-up. Their game plan was to "Snuff" the multi-rehabilitated home invader, wrap same in the shower curtain, dump the deceased out along the Interstate and go get another a $9.97 shower curtain next day at Walmart and avoid A SIX-FIGURE LAWSUIT TO JUSTIFY your right to have your home as your Castle!

Adam, I had the misfortune of living between two mentally unstable individuals who thought they were the kings of the neighborhood and liked to bully people. I endured months of harrasment including vandalism, poisoning my dogs (thankfully they survived), the killing of a pet rabbit and posing it on top of my firepit etc. Even though I made multiple reports to the police nothing was done. In the 5 days prior to the incident, the 2 perps had 288 texts between them about how they were going to get me out of my house that day and "take care of me". The decedent stated that "he had a gun and Spencer is no match for me".

I was leaving that morning for a car show when he came running out as I was pulling out of my drive way, screaming and yelling. Words were exchanged and I started to drive away when he yelled that he was going over to kill my dogs. I stopped, not realizing he had been chasing my truck. When I got out, he was about 6 -8 ft away, closing fast and stated "I'm going to kill you". I pulled the pistol out of truck and pointed it at him at point blank range. I was cornered in the door and told him to get back. He reached in his pocket and started to pull out what I thought was a gun, so I fired. Some otter box cases for cellphones look exactly like a glock. The TV show will go into more detail about all of that. I immediately dialed 911, secured my weapon, stayed on scene etc., everything you are supposed to do.

The castle doctrine would have applied had I been away from the truck and been able to move. Since I physically couldn't go anywhere, it was a moot point. In pa, a 1st degree murder charge is a non bailable offense, so I was stuck in prison, even though the ad, never made an attempt to prove the charges. Actually he only tried to prove 3rd by the case they presented. But since the da can charge you with whatever he wants with impunity.

Unfortunately for me, the da is anti gun and was up for re election and wanted to make a splash with my case. The local police department is one of the worst in the nation, being one of the 20 investigated by the dept. of justice and told to change their ways or else. I've needed 6 major surgeries to my neck, back and shoulder while being"taken into custody" even though they admitted I did not resist at all. All from one officer who the department has paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars to settle claims against him. I couldn't sue because it wasnt caught on tape.

They tried to keep all the guns seized from my house even after my aquital. They even tried to keep my phone and other personal property until I had to have my lawyer intervene and they still jerked us around for months. Proof positive again of why you never have all of your firearms in one location.

What did I miss?

Classic,

Sorry to hear about your legal problems. In Massachusetts it was routine for DAs to routinely Indict home invasion VICTIMS for Murder ONE when they shot a home invader who was rehabilitated numerous times beforehand.

Many MA neighbors stated they would "snuff" the Invader, wrap him in the shower curtain, drop him out on the interstate and go get another shower curtain next day a Walmart and AVOID the six-figure legal nightmare. I keep a few shower curtains on hand in case of need.

As Michael Douglas stated in an old movie: "If you want justice, go to a cat house. If you want to get #$%^"&*&, Go to Court! NO, just get another shower curtain and wait for the next perp!
