Went to a gun show last weekend to get rid of a bunch of that stuff from the estate that the fellow died in the fire. There was a bunch of powders etc from the darn thing. 14 lbs were never opened. and another 8 lbs of Black. I gave a bunch of the black to a friend who had a cannon and 2 mortars...One shoots a golf ball the other a bowling ball...the cannon shoots small soft drink cans with a bit of cement in them. Some I kept as it was that expensive(at least here) Swiss powder. I found a bunch of new flints and almost a 1000 musket caps(CCI). Anyway I took lots of that stuff to that show. I sold all cheap and sold 80% of what I took. Was really glad to get it gone. The bad(or good in my opinion) thing is I went in the door and the first table in the place had my almost Holy Grail gun. Have been looking for a S&W Model 16-4 revolver in 32 H&R mag. There was a six inch one in beautiful condition. For just a bit shy of 1700 bucks... Talked to the fellow and got him down to 1500...but wow..a lot of money from my small stash. So told him I had to think it over. Went across the aisle and down 2 tables and there WAS the holy grail..a 4 inch 16-4. Asked if I could look at it. Fellow said sure. Hang tag was 1070 dollars less that the other guns..$625-...doing something out of character for me....I told the fellow I will take it. I turned down 1800 for it later that day. They didn't make many 4 inch guns. The fellow I do some shows with is legally blind(for driving anyway) and has been looking for a Ruger single action in 45 Colt. The fellow had one of them also as well as a factory engraved 41 mag. I talked my friend into buying the 45(it was a flat top with custom grips) as the gun was pristine and the grips looked like Mammoth ivory...with some age cracks and coloration. After we took em off the gun to check...turns out I was right for a change. Tag on the back with the makers name and material. Did some checking and the grips cost more than he paid for the gun. We both did well at that fellows table. I have ordered a reamer so I can cut the chambers on the S&W to 327 Federal. Doesn't really hurt the value and I can shoot any 32 straight cased ammo in it...I also have a Freedom Arms Single Action I bought last year in 32-20 with an extra cylinder in 32 H&R mag. So I'll cut those chambers out on it too. Now I am going to stop buying guns...again. Honest!!

I am severely jealous over the 32-20 Skeet. It is a cartridge that has always had a special place in my heart.

Honest Injun... I am almost done buying guns. Haven't bought a rifle or a shotgun in ages 3 or 4 months...serious. I did buy a S&W M-60 3 inch gun..Adj sights and SS of course and it IS a 357. And I found a new Anderson Lower in my truck....I didn't remember buying it. Guess I will have to buy the stuff to make a complete rifle now. I might not even go to the auction this weekend that has about 60 guns in it GOB the 32-20 is ok...but not any great shakes in a handgun. I had a Marlin 1894 in 32-20 for a while and it was a fun gun...but you really do have to reload for it and the cases don't last any time at all. My Marlin 1894 in 41 mag is much more fun

skeet,
At my age, I just want to live long enough to wear out all the guns I already own. Our big, annual gun show was nearby on March 10-11, 2018. I saw no bargains there in guns, but I did find a few parts, slings and accoutrements I needed for my stash. Adam

Went to another auction and and bought a PPC revolver...unfired. Got all the original parts so am putting it back to original. Gun was made in 1971 and never fired. And a fellow had a S&W model 67 I just had to buy...and a fellow gave me a Smolt or Smithon revolver the other day...told me to shoot it and give him a reasonable amount for it. It is a Smith & Wesson model 19 with a Python barrel .Pretty gun

I picked up a fairly matched set of Ruger American Ranch Rifles. One in 7.62x39, the other in 5.56x45. Both are very accurate and I am loading for them both.

Found a nice late-Fifties Ithaca 37 in 16 gauge for the wife. Had to have the stock cut down to an 11.5" pull for her little short arms though.

Just got a moldy oldie...traded for an old Winchester M-54 Bolt gun in the late great 30WCF. Don't see toomany 30-30 bolt actions. This one has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount so I can shoot pointy bullets out of a 30-30 with a scope on it.
