The couple of times that I got to hunt JPG was by military refuge draw only and they assigned were you could hunt and would not let you go to the designated site until a certian time. They released the hunters depending upon what site was the farthest from the take off point according to what sites they were allowing to be hunted that weekend. Lots of sections were closed. Personally I preferred to go to Atterbury, got to choose where would hunt myself and then get to leave to get there as soon as was checked in, did not matter if shotgun or bow.
May the Lord bless you in some small way each and everyday.

I used to hunt thr JPG with a buddy a few years ago.We seemed to always get assigned to an area between the firing range and the impact area. This was in an area along Otter?creek.Set up in there and listen to the big guns firing, then the rattle of the shell as it passed overhead, then the impact a mile or so away.Got to wondering what would happen with a short round.Did not hunt there anymore.
