Hornady sst 12 guage shells

I tried some of these Sabot loads in my fully rifled 870 and boy did they group well. First 3 shots at 50 yards were almost touching and only about 2 inch outside group at 100 yards. A 300 grain poly tipped copper slug at 2000 FPS at muzzle.

I readjusted to get them 2.4 inchs high at 50 yards and then shot one more at 100 and it was 2.9 high just like the box said it would be. I only brought 3 boxes to the range because they are $12.99per 5 shot box each and i figured i could sight in and be comfortable within 15 shots and still have 3 more boxes of the same lot number for deer season.

So here is the question. If the box said it would be dead on at 150 yards and 6.5 low at 200, Is this Sluggun a 200 yard bean field gun now?

I have shot alot of ground hogs and coyotes at 200 with a rifle. man I wish I could find a ground hog out in the nieghbors filed tonight. but at 35 degrees i don't think the pigs will be out.

I have shot lightfields up to about 150 with comfort in a 6 inch plate and federal barnes expander 3 inchers were good to about 125 before they started to tumble. I started to see some keyholing with these slugs at any further range.

I saw nothing but prefectly shaped little holes at 100 yards but the range was maxed at 100 yards. Anyone shot them further than 100?
