Wyoming Antelope

My son and I just finished 4 days of antelope "looking " in area 23 which is north of the Ferris montains and west of Pathfinder Reservoir. We looked at over 400 head and could not find a head that looked like it would be close to book. We think all of the bucks we saw stopped short of 16 inch mains. Many would have been respectable typical mounts, but we were looking for one that would be very close to book for mounting purposes. The rut is just starting and we may spend another day early next month to see if an old buck appears close to timber. I may go out to tap one just for the meat. Can't find better burger for making red chile.
