California has banned lead in hunting ammunition!

A buddy emailed me yesterday and transmitted a Sportsmans' Alliance (Google it) news release stating Governor Brown signed a law banning lead in ammunition. From what I understand, it applies to all hunting ammunition (modern centerfire stuff, .22 ammo, etc.) and muzzleloader roundballs and Maxis. What is a flinter to do in that case? I can only imagine the economic impact of this "Greenie" Legislation. There is lead in the common .22 ammo, in the cup-and-core softpoint jacketed ammo and naturally in my favorite Roundball in my .45, .50 and .54 flinters. I am glad I live in Pennsylvania. Adam

				Amazing

Guess the answer is to stay out of California. The lead ammo ban goes into effect in 2019. All the best... AB 711 by Assemblyman Anthony Rendon, D-South Gate -- would ban use of lead ammunition in hunting by mid-2019. SIGNED Gil |
