If you have not already purchased something, I would put the money down for a Harris bipod, it will last a long time, so when he is older and truly needs a real bipod like dads' he will already have it, plus when he gets older the Harris will cost a lot more.

I`m with Petey. After all the boy is just learning to shoot and a tree or a post or shooting sticks I think are better to learn with than a by-pod. That and I would never put 1 on the barrel eather.
