Used outboards of that HP are running around $500, give or take, so you are still doing well.
As for the rough running, don't forget to drain and replace the oil in the lower unit, clean off (or replace) the spark plugs, and make sure if it has a fuel filter (usually a little metal mesh screen) that it is free of gunk. But, you probably knew all of that........  Good luck!
